My first teacher, my mother, an artist and single parent... She gave me the world.

I learned to ski, bike, swim, skateboard at a young age. adventure and risk taking was part of my daily life since my childhood. She also fostered the love that I have for whitewater, nature, adventure and art of course. Her jobs were "odd" jobs as most would call them, (however, I found nothing "odd" about them), included: Painting houses on 40 foot ladders, art commissions for her glass work, and teaching skiing which she still does to this day. My passion to explore, experience and enrich others lives became a centerpiece of my own life.

Hanging from tree branches, looking closely at reflections in puddles as if seeing a portal to another dimension...  watching bugs and flowers just brought my mind into amazement of the "macro" world. Sunsets, and the glowing rays through leaves in autumn would leave me starstruck, opening my world, and broadened my visual horizons. -I wanted to share these moments.

Taking a photography class at Greenfield Community College (2013) while studying for my GED, I made the decision to share and document things that caught my attention. Whether my documentation was in the form of video, written or just captured by a singular image, I sought out stories to be told. Stories and storytelling are skills that always inspired me. I find it extremely powerful when a photographer or writer can grasp the the reader/viewer with an image either visually or mentally.

In the years since 2013 and choosing that path, I have held onto a vast portfolio that has been mostly hidden from the public. As I slowly unearth my oldest and best work and bring new life to them here I hope to share the stories that accompany them, along with the perspective that brought me to capture the image. These bodies of work hold great value of sentiment as they individual hold their own stories, but collectively add to the long journey of my photography.
